Who Qualifies for Structured Family Caregiving?

Structured Family Caregiving (SFC) enables family members to provide care for their loved ones at home while receiving financial assistance. The designated caregiver must reside with the care recipient and be committed to providing ongoing, daily support.

 

Eligible Caregivers May Include:

  • Immediate and extended family members such as daughters, sons, grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, and more.

  • Relatives by marriage, including daughters-in-law and sons-in-law.

  • Please note: Spouses of waiver participants and legal guardians are not eligible for compensation.

Program Qualifications:

  • The caregiver must live with the care recipient and provide round-the-clock care.

  • The care recipient must be currently enrolled in the CCSP or SOURCE Program under Georgia Medicaid.

  • If Medicaid eligibility has not yet been established, our team can assist with the application process to determine qualification for CCSP or SOURCE under the Elderly Disabled Waiver Program.
